Daytona, Fl

Tom installed the water pump with little problem and we left for Matanzas Inlet on Friday. We had a good tide and reached Ft. Matanzas by noon. We had a good visit with friends and enjoyable afternoon. We left for Daytona early Saturday morning and made a bee line for West Marine and the tiki bar [Blue Grotto] by happy hour.

St. Augustine, Part 2 – Also known as “dead in the water”
We left St. Augustine, FL after 4 days of playing tourist to head for Matanzas Inlet 4 hours south of  here on Monday. Our engine died on the way and we were towed back to the city marina by BoatUS. We had tow insurance that we’d never used before so we were thankful.  We found the part we needed – a fresh water circulating pump – for the engine and ordered it to come in today but there was a mix up in the shipping and it’s supposed to be here tomorrow. Tom and I consoled our grief with a DQ Blizzard. We figured the 6 mile walk would take care of the extra calories.
Here are pictures of some our our St. Augustine adventures:

Compass Rose in St. Augustine, Florida

St. Augustine is always our favorite stop. We plan to stay here 4 days. Paul and Pam are coming down for a visit which is great -- plus we'll have a car to run errands. Yeah!!!

Georgia Update

We made it through the creeks and bridges of Georgia and are now in Florida. We're at a marina in Jacksonville and headed to St. Augustine for the weekend. We had stops in Beaufort, Jekyll and Cumberland Island.
